Let’s you know about my home town.... Khok Sa-Nga Cobra Village.


       I would like to introduce my hometown. There is Khok Sa-Nga Cobra Village. I'm sure, everyone will fear when I finished to talk about my hometown. Ban Khok Sa-nga lives in Tambon Sai Mun of KhonKaen province, famous with snakes. Ban Khok Sa-Nga has an interesting about snakes. It was wonderful things that everyone kept it’s in their houses and setting the name of their snakes. Several of the reptiles and most houses have some in boxes under their houses. They make money by a cobra and king cobra. The villagers often lose as the many missing fingers show. The villagers formally earned extra income by selling herbal medicines by travelling around through villages.  Anyway, a cobra show was too dangerous more than a king cobra. Today, after the harvest season, villagers of Khok Sa-nga always travel around to organize a snake show and sell their herbal medicine.








Interesting person: Since 2494, Phu Yai Ken Yongla who began playing with snakes. He was a herb farmer, he is the first famous person dared with a cobra. He began putting on snake shows to attract customers to the village. And the art of breeding and training snakes has been nurtured ever since.


Customs: The villagers of Khok Sa-Nga Cobra Village is wearing yellow shirt with sarong suits.


The main agricultural product: Almost of the villagers was the farmer. Someone plant a herbal medicine for sell, after the harvest season, villagers of Khok Sa-nga always travel around to organize a snake show and sell their product. Therefore, the main agricultural product is the rice.


An OTOP product: Khok Sa-Nga Cobra Village is most well known for its silk and cotton that is produced locally. Most fabric is produced from local residence homes, so the best way to see the production of silk fabric is to drive around the village looking for looms in local yards. Most of the people weaving fabric would be more than happy to show a visitor the weaving process and try to sell the product.
